Poplar Girls Score Win In Fairview
Poplar’s girls’ basketball team struck for 12 points in the fourth quarter to beat Fairview, 39-33, on the road on Friday, Jan. 2.
The Indians trailed by a 28-27 margin entering the final quarter. Poplar’s Frankie Gourneau scored six points in the fourth period. Adding three points each were Saydee Archambault and Braelyn Nordwick.
Gourneau finished with 19 points for the Indians. Also scoring were Nordwick with nine, Archambault with seven, Jenaeya Moran with two and Emma Belton with two.
Macy Tjelde accounted for 18 points to lead Fairview.
