Student-Athletes Honored For Community Service
Fourteen student-athletes from across Montana will be honored for their commitment to service and community in Missoula on Saturday, Nov. 22. The celebration will be a part of the 2025 “Brawl of the Wild” college football game between the University of Montana Grizzlies and the Montana State University Bobcats.
Lieutenant Governor Kristen Juras, Commissioner of Higher Education Clayton Christian, and leaders from the Montana Campus Network for Civic Engagement, including college presidents and chancellors, will take the field at Washington–Grizzly Stadium in Missoula to recognize the recipients of this year’s Montana Athletes in Service Awards.
These exceptional student-athletes exemplify leadership, compassion, and a deep commitment to their communities.
Among those to be honored this year is Walker Burshia, Fort Peck Community College, Basketball (Service: Student Senate; food drive volunteer; student advocate; youth basketball and football camp mentor) Others are Kayle Addison, Little Big Horn College; Amelio Blackhorse, Chief Dull Knife College; Cameron Blevins, Miles Community College; Taylee Chirrick, Montana State University; Tori Murnion, University of Montana Western; Justus Peterson, Montana Technological University; Nova Rosman, Montana State University Billings; Colton Seymour, Salish Kootenai College; Blaine Shaw, Flathead Valley Community College; Owen Smith, Montana State University - Northern; Brooke Stayner, University of Montana; Tayla Undem, Dawson Community College; Kennedy Venner, Carroll College.
