Lions Take Fourth Place

The Lustre Lions earned fourth place at the District 3C volleyball tournament held in Saco during the weekend.

Lustre opened tournament action with a 25-19, 25-15, 2513, victory over Nashua.

The Lions then fell to defending state champion Circle by an 8-25, 12-25, 13-25, final.

Lustre stayed alive by beating Frazer 25-6, 25-8, 25-9.

The Lions were eliminated by Scobey, 10-25, 12-25, 17-25.

Circle defeated Scobey in the district championship match.

The Eastern C divisional tournament starts Thursday, Nov. 6, in Sidney. The top two teams advance to the state tournament.
