Indians Fall To Scobey

Poplar ended its football season with a 52-0 road loss against undefeated Scobey on Thursday, Oct. 23.

Poplar Coach Jason Brock said, “It was a hard luck season, but all in all, I believe the foundation of what we expect is starting to be learned and figured out. The young gentlemen are truly learning what it takes to be a real program. It is going to take a lot of work, but the future is looking positive with the athletes we have coming back.”

This was Brock’s second season as the Indians’ head coach.

“The scoreboards have not looked very good for us this season, but we learned and got better. Next season, we are going to change up some things to make our team as strong as it can be,” Brock said.

He thanked his players for not quitting, showing heart and passion for the game.

“Year two is in the books and now this summer is when we start preparing for next season. It takes time to create a new culture. excited to see how this summer goes. Thank you to all the coaches and players for helping us rebuild the football culture in Poplar. Better times are coming on the gridiron,” Brock said.
