Poplar Runs To Titles At Culbertson Meet
The Poplar Indians captured first place in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions during the Culbertson Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Poplar placed first in the boys’ division with 10 points. Williston Trinity Christian was second with 21 points.
Four Poplar runners placed in the top 10. Jayden Eder ran the course in 17:48.1 for second place, Eljin Grey Bear took third at 17:52.5, Issac Irizarry was fifth at 17:53.1 and Wilder Bearcub placed ninth at 18:01.7.
Ryder Olson took 14th at 19:14.2 and Mickey Failing was 17th at 19:55.7. Dustin Smith took 22nd at 20:21.5.
Trentin Youpee was 25th at 20:33.2. Raylando Red Eagle placed 28th at 21:25.1. Easton Grey Bear took 36th at 22:17.5.
In the girls’ division, the Indians won with 11 points.
Four Poplar girls finished in the top 10. Mila Gramling took third at 20:50.9, Amelia Weeks was fifth at 22:20.5, Kellyn Azure took sixth at 22:22.5 and Alara Cooper was eighth at 22:38.1.
Harley Daniels placed 13th with a time of 23:27.2. Liberty Boadle was 16th at 23:59.6.
Two individuals ran for Wolf Point at the meet. Lakealah Mays placed 29th with a time of 26:01.2 in the girls’ division and Kevin Brock took 35th with a time of 21:58.3 in the boys’ division.
Brockton’s girls placed third in the team standings with 24 points.
Leading the Warriors was Braelynn Demarrias with a time of 21:39.8 for fourth place. Madalyn Fish had a time of 23:06.4 for 11th place.
Tamryn Bauer took 15th at 23:36.2. Taylor Cummings placed 24th at 25:06.5.
Skylar Cummins finished 32nd at 26:14.5. Olivia Erickson was 40th at 27:51.2. Marlene Fish took 43rd at 28:34.0. Mackenzie Jones placed 46th at 30:05.5.
In the boys’ division, Daniel Segubiense had a time of 20:39.7 for 26th place. Lynn Bets His Medicine took 45h at 24:54.3.
Gabe Beston led Frazer with a time of 18:56.0 for 11th place. Bryce Fourstar placed 21st at 20:13.5.
Preston Beston was 32nd at 21:37.0. Ronald Round Face took 47th at 25:11.0.
Noli Sibley took 22nd at 24:57.3 in the girls’ division.
Isabelle Fourstar was 44th at 29:47.6. Brianna Beston placed 47th at 30:11.3
