Bow Cheers At Shrine Game

Recent Wolf Point High School graduate Jack Bow represented the East Cheer squad at the East-West Shrine Football Game played in Great Falls on Saturday.

Bow also got to meet up with his Montana State University teammates and coaches.

The East 19-person squad also featured Malta’s Josslyn Hoge, Malta’s Danika Wilke, Westby’s Brian Bahny-Huffman, Shepherd’s Isabelle Desmarais and Shepherd’s Brylinn Olstad. There are five students from Great Falls High School on the squad.

The Montana Shrine Game is the premier all-star game in Montana and has a long history of distinguished players and coaches. It is also one of the oldest high school allstar football games in America. Every year since 1947, Montana high schools’ finest players are selected to compete in a game to raise money and to help make the public aware of the expert orthopedic and burn care available at the Shriner’s Children’s in Spokane, Wash.

To be selected to perform for the cheer squad, students needed to send videos of them performing along with answering an essay question.

The West team won by a 14-7 final.
