Red Hawks Advance During Divisional

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks scored eight points in the girls’ division and two points in the boys’ division during the Eastern C divisional track meet held in Sidney on Tuesday, May 13.

Froid/Lake’s 1600-meter relay team consisting of Mara Salvevold, Joelle Davidson, Keira Stentoft and Isabelle Nordwick finished in third place with a time of 4:28.42.

The girls’ 400-meter relay of Stentoft, Nordwick, Leah Murray and Salvevold placed sixth at 54.71 seconds. The time is a new Red Hawk record.

Salvevold, a senior, qualified for state by placing sixth in the 200 with a time of 28.59 seconds.

Froid/Lake’s boys’ 400-meter relay team of Rylan Young, Cody Olson, Joseph Robertson and Eduardo Orozco finished fifth with a time of 47.71 seconds.
