Sam and Lisa Berg, Missionaries to the Bahamas, were the Harvest Festival speakers for the Lustre MB Church Oct. 1-3.
On Sunday evening, 11 cousins and many family members enjoyed a memorable time together at the home of Dean and Julie Reddig. They are listed with their parent’s name behind them for the benefit of those new to the community. Rachel Reimer, wife of the late Rev. Johnny Reimer, died Sept. 25, 2023 at the age of 94. She married John Reimer July 8 1953,in Steinbach, MB and they came to Montana to be the pastor at the First Baptist Church in Poplar, followed by years as Pastor of the Lustre EMB Church. They were a dynamic couple whose impact was known at Beacon Bible Camp and any of the other churches they served from Marion, S.D., to Auk Bay, Kenny Lake and Copper Center, Alaska. Dallas, Ore., was their home in retirement at which time, Pastor Johnny was choir director as well as writing books, and working in teaching adults. We will certainly miss these fine folk.
We extend our sympathy to Lustre Grade School teacher, Prince Agbisit, who learned last week that his aunt and cousins perished in the fires that took place in Hawaii, where they lived.
Elwyn and Linda Goossen, serving in Brazil with Harvest Radio are the Harvest Festival Speakers at the Lustre EMB church on Oct. 8. There will also be meetings on Monday evening.
