Gorder Receives Minot’s Wrestling Award

Freshman Jazmin Gorder of Poplar has been selected the Minot State University Women’s wrestler of the year for 2022-2023.

Gorder also won honors for being the most technical and having the most turns this season.

Gorder, competing in the 123-pound weight class, has the honor of having her name on both the first win at nationals for Minot State as well as the first win in the championship bracket as she opened nationals with a pin of Morgan Bethea from Wisconsin Stevens Point in 1 minute, 58 seconds.
