Lustre Enjoys Good Showing In Fairview

 

Lustre Christian finished with 65 points to take third place during the track meet in Fairview on Thursday, May 4. The top two boys’ teams were Broadus with 84 points and Fairview with 70 points.

Jasiah Hambira cleared 6-0 in the high jump and ran the 200-meter dash in 23.29 seconds for first-place honors. He was sixth in the 800 at 2:19.89.

Braden Ewing took first in the triple jump at 40-3 and second in the long jump at 19-9.

Johnslee Pierre placed third in the high jump by clearing 5-10 and Elijah Lenihan took sixth by clearing 5-8.

Terran Joseph took fifth in the long jump at 18-11 and Pierre was sixth at 18-10.

Both of Lustre’s relay teams finished second. The 400-meter relay team of Joseph, Emeka Aniobi, Ife Aniobi and Ewing had a time of 47.87. The 1600-meter relay team of Byron Ewing, Lenihan, Joseph and Pierre had a time of 3:49.95.

In the girls’ division, Meredith Valentine finished fourth in the 800 with a time of 4:36.81.

Also in the top 10 at the meet were Angie Fontus at ninth in the 1600, Mana Okamoto at eighth in the 300-meter hurdles, Hambira at ninth in the 1600, Naveen Pilla at seventh in the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, Cayden Klatt at eighth in the 300-meter hurdles, I. Aniobi at ninth in the 300-meter hurdles, Lehihan at 10th in the 300-meter hurdles and Diek Olfert at eighth in the high jump and triple jump.

Lustre’s girls’ 400-meter relay team of Anna Teichroew, Valentine, Fontus and Okamoto took eighth.
