Junior High Runners Place At Meets

Wolf Point’s junior high track athletes scored 77 points in the girls’ division and 47 points in the boys’ division in Glendive on Saturday, May 6.

Wolf Point’s girls’ 400-meter relay seventh-grade team of Cadence Bouldin, Harper Weeks, Adalynn Smith and AnnaLeigh Matejovsky finished first with a time of 59 seconds.

Mackenzie Jackson earned first in the shot put with a best of 26-1.

Placing second for Wolf Point’s girls were Bouldin in the 200, Smith in the 400 and Matejovsky in the triple jump. The 1600-meter relay team of Smith, Mattie Azure, Weeks and Bouldin finished second.

Taking third were Smith in the 100, Jackson in the discus and Matejovsky in the shot put.

Bouldin earned fourth in the 400.

Jaycee Hilkeman led Wolf Point’s boys by running the 1600 in 5:09.4 for first-place honors.

Zandon Calder earned second place in the shot put. The 1600-meter relay team of Jesse Reed, Martavius Badhawk, Jay Davis and Hilkeman finished third.

Jay Davis placed fourth in both the 100 and 200. He added a sixth in the long jump.

Calder took sixth in the discus. The 400-meter relay team of Davis, Reed, Badhawk and Hilkeman took sixth.

Wolf Point’s boys accounted for 14 points during the Richey/Lambert meet on Friday, May 5.

Hilkeman took first in the 800 (2:21.47) and placed fourth in the 400.

Leading the elementary boys was Kayeiko with a fourth in the 400.

For elementary girls, Elan Peters placed second in the discus and third in the shot put.

During action in Fairview on May 1, Matejovsky finished first in the 100 for elementary girls with a time of 7.8 seconds.

Damari Martinez earned first in the high jump for elementary boys by clearing 4-6. He placed fourth in the long jump.

Hilkeman finished first in the 1600 for junior high boys with a time of 5:03.43.
