Junior High Track Athletes Place At Sidney Meet

 

Wolf Point’s junior high athletes put together strong efforts during the Sidney Invitational on Friday, April 28.

The Wolves scored 60 points in the girls’ division and 23 points in the boys’ division at the meet.

Taking first place for Wolf Point’s girls were AnnaLeigh Matejovsky with a best of 28-1 in the triple jump and Mackenzie Jackson with a best of 25-10 in the shot put.

Placing second were Matejovsky in the 100, Adalynn Smith in the 400 and Jackson in the discus.

Taking third were Matejovsky in the long jump and the 400-meter relay team of Cadence Bouldin, Matejovsky, Harper Weeks and Smith. Matejovsky placed fourth in the shot put.

Also in the top 10 were Cadence Bouldin at seventh in the 400, Smith at eighth in the 100 and Weeks at ninth in the 100-meter hurdles.

In the boys’ eighth-grade division, Jesse Reed earned fourth in the 400 and fourth in the 800. Zandon Calder took fourth in the shot put and sixth in the discus.

The 400-meter relay team featuring Jayden Dominique, Reed, Jay Davis and Martavius Badhawk finished in eighth place.

Conway Turcotte took ninth in the shot put.

In the boys’ seventh-grade division, Jay Davis placed second in the 400 and fifth in the 100.

Martavius Badhawk took seventh in the 200 and ninth in the long jump.
