Indians Place During Meet In Great Falls

 

The Poplar Indians accounted for 10 points in the boys’ standings and 12 points in the girls’ standings at the track meet in Great Falls on Saturday, April 29.

The highlight of the meet for the Indians was junior Adrien Matuck earning first place in the long jump with a personal record of 20-3.

Another highlight for Poplar’s boys was Navarjo Escarcega taking ninth in the 3200 with a time of 11:55.93.

Two of Poplar’s girls placed in the 3200-meter run. Jazmyn Carrywater finished third in the 3200 at 13:14.32 and Reinita Irizarry placed fourth at 13:34.9.

Bailey Dupree also scored for the Indians as she earned fifth place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 51.63 seconds.
