Frazer Drops Contests Against Dodson
Frazer dropped both of its conference basketball contests against Dodson on Friday, Feb. 10.
Frazer’s girls lost by a 66-44 final.
The Bearcubs trailed by only a 16-15 margin at the end of the first quarter but fell behind 30-19 at the half.
Dodson outscored the Bearcubs by an 18-11 margin in the third quarter.
Top scorers for Frazer were Audrey Smoker with nine, Baily Beston with eight, Lianna Jackon with eight and Angel Nelligan with eight points. Also scoring were Leigha Smoker with five, Isabelle Even with four and Angelina White with two points. Kataya KillEagle accounted for 42 of Dodson’s points. Lilyian Turnsplenty added 11.
Frazer’s boys lost by a 7428 final. Dodson gained a 16-3 lead in the first quarter and held a 49-18 half-time advantage.
Scoring for the Bearcubs were Cassius Smoker with five, Ty Fourstar with five, Travis Long with four, Joseph Beston with four, Zayden Hentges with two, Jarvis Goodbird with two and C. Fox with one point.
Mikey Jaynes and Junior Stiffarm finished with 25 points each for Dodson.
The District 3C tournament begins Thursday, Feb. 16, in Glasgow.
