Bainville Girls Defeat MonDak

Bainville’s girls’ basketball squad put together a strong first half and defeated Mon-Dak, 48-36, in conference action on Saturday, Jan. 21.

The Bulldogs gained a 15-4 lead in the first quarter. Hailey Berwick scored eight points and fired in two three-pointers during the quarter.

Bainville increased its advantage to 30-10 during the second period. Kendra Romo and Lila Butikofer each scored four points in the quarter.

The Bulldogs held a 44-24 lead after three quarters of play. Miah Pippenger hit two three-pointers in the third quarter.

Berwick led the Bulldogs with 15 points in the victory. Elsie Wilson and M. Pippenger added eight points each.

Also scoring were Tally Berwick with six, Butikofer with four, Romo with four and Brecklyn Pippenger with three.

Emma Smart scored 14 points for the Thunder.
