The Wolves trailed 17-12 at the end of the first quarter and by a 19-12 margin early in the second quarter. A turnaround shot by Cade Stafne, a pair of free throws by Kelby Bauer and a baseline shot by Bushman put the margin at 34-19 midway into the quarter.

Scobey struck for six straight points late in the half to close the gap to 41-30, but Wolf Point’s Jack Kolstad answered with a three-pointer. The Wolves held a 44-33 advantage at intermission.

A coast-to-coast drive by Benson ended the third quarter with Wolf Point holding a 52-42 advantage.

The Spartans scored the first four points of the fourth period, but the Wolves put the contest away with the final 11 points.
