Poplar Boys Drop Game To Scotties

Poplar’s boys’ basketball squad couldn’t overcome a slow start and lost at Glasgow by a 59-45 margin on Saturday, Jan. 14.

The Scotties jumped out to a 16-3 advantage in the first quarter.

Poplar fought back to 27-23 at the half but trailed 45-33 after three quarters of play.

Top scorers for the Indians were Geordy Medicine Cloud and Kaniel Ricker with 13 points each. Delray Lilley added 11 points.

Also scoring were Walker Burshia with five and Kameron Reum with three points.

Wyatt Babb led Glasgow with 22 points. Also reaching double figures were Riley Smith with 12 and Keigan Ingram with 11 points.

The Indians will head to Wolf Point on Friday, Jan. 20.
