Black ice on Highway 2 caused the Dodson High School team to turn around and cancel its game with Lustre on Saturday, Jan. 14. It will be rescheduled Tuesday.

Dense fog in the area has been common, especially on Sunday. A power pole broke at the Lustre schools and power was lost from 6 to 7 hours on Thursday while NorVal restored things.

A graduate of LCHS in 1969, Linda (Rahn) Siewing died Jan. 7, 2023, in Aberdeen, S.D. She is the daughter of Henry and Rose (Nickel) Rahn. We fondly remember her friendliness from Beacon Bible Camp days and music festivals, and express our sympathies to her family, including her cousins who live in Lustre. Her services will be in the spring.

Congratulations to the Lustre Lions boys’ basketball team in their win over North Country on Thursday. It is neat to see players develop their God-given abilities.
