Froid/Lake Boys Defeat Fusion, 45-36

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks got off to a strong start and posted a 45-36 boys’ basketball victory over Richey/ Lambert on Saturday, Jan. 14.

The visiting Red Hawks gained a 14-3 advantage in the first quarter. Patton Bighorn, Mason Dethman and Nate Stentoft each scored three points in the quarter.

Froid/Lake led 25-15 at intermission and 36-28 at the end of the third quarter.

Reaching double figures for the Red Hawks were Bighorn with 15 and Dethman with 12 points. Max Engelke and Stentoft added seven points each. Joey Boyd and Caden Kelm scored two points each.

Top scorers for the Fusion were Layne Herman with 14, Austin Lien with nine and Joshua Sponheim with seven points.

The Red Hawks will travel to Brockton on Saturday, Jan. 21.
