Wolf Point Stops Baker, 53-27

Wolf Point’s boys’ basketball team accounted for 50 points in the first half and knocked off Baker, 53-27, in home action on Thursday, Jan. 5.

The hot-shooting Wolves jumped out to a 21-6 advantage during the opening quarter of action. Kraven Silk led the attack with seven points including a three-pointer in the period.

Wolf Point then poured in 29 points in the second quarter for a 50-9 command.

Kelby Bauer accounted for 15 points in the second period. Juliun Benson and Gaige Bushman each added four points.

Bauer finished the contest with 17 points. Also scoring for the Wolves were Silk with nine, Bushman with eight, Jack Kolstad with six, Benson with five, Cade Stafne with four and Peyton Summers with four. The Wolves made 14 of their 22 free-throw tries. Bauer was seven for eight from the foul stripe.

Leading Baker with seven points each were Cooper O’Connor, Riley Williams and Bryant O’Connor.
