Cowboys Outscore Fusion, 68-30

The Culbertson Cowboys broke away in the middle two quarters to beat Richey/Lambert, 68-30, in Culbertson on Saturday, Dec. 10.

After leading by only a 9-6 margin at the end of the first quarter, the Cowboys struck for 16 points in the second quarter for a 25-13 half-time advantage.

Culbertson ran off 19 points in the third quarter to increase the gap to 44-20. The Cowboys added 24 more points in the final period.

Top scorers for Culbertson were Mo Bighorn with 15, Mark Kirkaldie with 12, Colin Avance with 12 and Payton Perkins with 11 points. Bridger Salvevold added nine points. Also scoring were Donte Eagleboy with three, Nyreece Halvorson with two, Dawson Bergum with two and Shea Scott with two.

Josh Sponheim led the Fusion with nine points.

The Cowboys will travel to Fairview on Friday, Dec. 16, and host Lustre on Saturday, Dec. 17.
