Lustre Falls Short Against Malta

Lustre’s girls’ basketball squad came up just short against Malta’s JVs to open the season in Glasgow on Friday, Dec. 2. Malta won by a 48-45 final.

Malta held a 10-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 26-18 half-time advantage.

Behind by a 36-29 margin, the Lions put together a strong comeback in the last quarter. Grace Brown scored seven points in the fourth period.

Top scorers for the Lions were Alexa Reddig with 18, Aubri Holzrichter with 13 and Brown with 12 points. Hope Marottek with two points.

Neva Jacobson scored 12 points to lead Malta’s JVs.
