New Citizens Sworn In

There were two ceremonies Oct. 20 at the James F. Battin Federal Courthouse in Billings, each with 30 people becoming new U.S. citizens. The 11 a.m. ceremony saw 30 people from Australia, Canada, Chile, Dominican Republic, France, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Romania, Sweden, Ukraine and the United Kingdom. They currently reside in Absarokee, Belgrade, Big Sky, Billings, Bozeman, Emigrant, Ennis, Helena, Joliet, Kalispell, Laurel, Manhattan, McLeod,, Red Lodge, Ryegate and Wolf Point respectively.

The 1:30 p.m. ceremony has 30 people from Afghanistan, Argentina, Australia, Belarus, Burma, Canada, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Nepal, Philippines, Russia, South Korea, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Vietnam, living in Billings, Boulder, Bozeman, Clancy, Great Falls, Hamilton, Helena, Kalispell, Missoula, Shepherd and Sidney.
