Cowgirls Knock Off Scobey Team

The Culbertson Cowgirls scored an impressive volleyball victory in Scobey on Saturday, Sept. 3. The Cowgirls knocked off Scobey by a 25-10, 25-12, 25-15, margin.

“The girls fought hard. They came out swinging and didn’t stop,” Culbertson Coach Tiffany Nielsen said. “Their serves were also on tonight.”

Makena Hauge finished with 15 kills, three aces, five blocks and two digs.

Destiny Thompson accounted for six aces, four kills, a block and a dig.

Koree Marchwick scored 17 assists, five aces, two kills and three digs.

Alicyn Ator had two aces, five assists, a kill and a dig. Jazzmin Fugere added two aces, two kills and two digs. Perla Burciaga finished with six kills and two digs.

The Cowgirls opened the week with a 25-6, 25-9, 25-11, home victory over Frazer.

Marchwick served 12 aces and had four assists against the Bearcubs. Hauge had two aces and two kills.

Burciaga accounted for six aces and two kills. Ator added six aces and two assists.

Thompson scored two kills. Fugere had an ace.

Culbertson will host Nashua on Thursday, Sept. 8.
