Birthday Bash Planned At Museum

A birthday celebration is planned at the Culbertson Museum July 30-31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

The museum opened in 1990, making 2022 their 32nd year in operation. Organizers reported that a wide selection of pies will be on offer, all homemade, including apple, cherry, pecan, pumpkin and other varieties. Ice cream and coffee will also be provided, along with tours of the facility.

The annual quilt drawing took place July 24, raising over $2,000. Plans were originally set to host birthday celebrations on the same date, but it was decided to reschedule in order to avoid conflicts with other area events.

Improvements to the meat room have been completed. Volunteers have rearranged the interior of the museum to make it more visitor friendly, with improved access to toys, uniforms and other historical items.

The museum is a non-profit organization and is volunteer run. Donations are being sought as part of fundraising efforts to cover operating expenses for the year. More individuals are needed to cover regular museum shifts. Contact the museum at 406-787-6320 for more information or visit their Facebook page.
