Bainville Plans For Celebration

The community of Bainville will have its largest celebration of the year starting on Friday, July 1, and running through Sunday, July 3.

The Heritage America celebration, sponsored by the Bainville Community Association, will include an all-class reunion in honor of Bainville School’s centennial.

John Gilligan, one of the event’s organizers, more than 300 alumni have registered for the reunion banquet that will begin on Friday, July 1. Class photos will be taken later that night.

Gilligan said the annual celebration in Bainville started in 2015.

“We get 500 to 1,000 people each year,” Gilligan said.

Highlights on Saturday, July 2, will include a parade on Main Street beginning at 11 a.m. To register for the parade, call Jeanna Adkins at 406-785-7109.

Saturday’s activities will start with a breakfast by the Bainville Volunteer Fire Department from 7-10 a.m.

Vendors will offer a variety of items from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Interested vendors can call Melissa Hannum, 406-300-2861.

Bainville Athletics will provide a “Pig in the Park” meal from noon to 1:30 p.m. Family entertainment will include bouncy houses, prairie golf, kids’ games and farmhand olympics.

Josh Kehr, a Nashville recording artist, will provide the entertainment for a street dance that will run from 7:30-11 p.m.

Activities on Sunday, July 3, will include a community church service at 11 a.m. and a community potluck at noon.

Starting at 2 p.m., there will be a golf driving range potluck and a four-on-four volleyball tournament.
