County Commissioners Approve Bids For Meals

Roosevelt County commissioners approved bids for congregate and home delivered meals during a meeting on Thursday, June 9.

The bid for congregate meals in Poplar from the Buckhorn Cafe increased from $9 to $10.

Bids for home delivered meals also increased in the county.

The bid from Northeast Montana Health Services for home delivered meals in Wolf Point and Poplar was $14.50 for the meal, $4.50 for delivery cost for $19 total.

Roosevelt Medical Center’s bid for Culbertson was $9 per meal, a $5.50 delivery cost for $14.50 total.

Meals are delivered five days a week.

There are no home delivery meals available in Bainville or Froid.

Costs are part of the Aging Department’s budget. The department receives federal, state and county funds. Everybody receiving meals are asked to make a contribution.

Also during the meeting, Bainville art teacher Amber Disney was appointed to the fair board.

Pay raises were approved for road department employee Rex Jensen, road department employee Ryan Lambert and sheriff’s office employee Centenial Colon. Dylan Gust was hired to work at the fairgrounds.
