Bainville Council To Consider New Clerk, Rogers Up For Replacement

The Bainville Town Council will consider an agenda item to appoint a new town clerk at the June 13 regular meeting, replacing Nikki Rogers. Rogers has been clerk for Bainville since 2014 and said she is unaware of any reason the change. Mayor Toby Romo confirmed the item at press time June 7. He did not give a reason for the move.

At the May 23 council meeting, an amended budget was passed for fiscal year 2020. Clerk Rogers told the Community News that appropriations exceeded revenues, necessitating the budget amendment. Romo said the town will also be considering an amended 2021 budget at the meeting, which Romo said he hopes will be approved.
