Tribes Revert To Phase 1 For COVID
The Fort Peck Tribes reverted back to phase 1 COVID restrictions starting Nov. 3.
The restrictions include a strongly enforced curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., tribal casinos cease all operations until further notice and tribal community halls and cultural centers are closed for all events.
Tribal operation hours are from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for only essential employees.
The tribal executive board also recommended that all public schools and the Fort Peck Community College shut down operations for two weeks.
Poplar’s school was closed from Nov. 4-9 for regular instruction.
Southside Elementary School in Wolf Point is closed through Nov. 11. Students are anticipated to return Nov. 15.
Masks are required at Frontier School at least through Nov. 12.
