Perez Receives Sentences For Charges

Christian Alexander Perez was sentenced for two felony charges in district court on Wednesday, Sept. 15.

For the count of possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to distribute, district judge David J. Cybulski sentenced Perez to a four-year deferred sentence. For the count of possession of dangerous drugs, Perez received a four-year suspended sentence. The sentences are to run concurrently.

Cybulski explained to Perez that a deferred sentence can come back and bite him if he violates probation conditions.

“Good luck and don’t sit in that chair again,” Cybulski said.

Perez of Williston, N.D., changed his plea from not guilty to “no contest” Tuesday, July 27.
