GNDC Offers Conference Rooms
The Great Northern Development Corp. has officially opened new conference rooms to conduct meetings or celebrations in Wolf Point.
Brianna Vine of GNDC said the organization has been working on the project during the last year.
Officials started planning the project last August. After being awarded a social services non-profit organization grant from the state about Nov. 1, GNDC was required to complete the construction by the end of 2020.
“It was busy,” Vine said about that time period.
The large conference room provides comfortable seating for up to 50 individuals. Rental cost is $200 for a full day or $110 for a half day.
The smaller conference room sits up to 20 people. Rental cost is $90 for a full day or $40 for a half day.
“I’m very placed,” Vine said of the finished conference rooms. “We were really limited with space before.”
She explained that Great Northern Development holds many events such as workshops and conferences throughout the year. Especially with social distancing concerns, additional space was desired for meetings. Previously, the space was a poorly heated garage type area.
“We really needed to expand our capabilities,” Vine said. “We’re excited with what opportunities it will bring to Wolf Point.”
Vine noted the rooms have all the amenities needed for meetings, classes, workshops, presentations, birthday parties, baby showers or anniversary parties. Items that make the space perfect for business meetings include a podium, sound panels and the capability of having Power Point, video conferencing and teleconferencing.
The hope is to landscape the back patio area during the next year.
To reserve one of the two rooms, call Mark Sansaver, 653-2590, ext. 202.
Helping to make the project a reality were Wolf Point Construction, Hi-Tech Electric, Nemont, Handran Home Center, Spirit of Life Bike Shop, C and L Doors LLC, Midwest Doors, Dreum Designs, Mark Eggebrecht Painting, Plumbing Innovations, Walker Weeks, Will’s Office World and Jessica Weeks.
