The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 96 calls from March 31 to April 7. The calls included the following: April 1 Deputies responded at 3:07 p.m. to the Val-Am store in Culbertson after a vehicle ran into the east end of the store. The driver provided his license and insurance, and the driver was sober. No one was injured. The Montana Highway Patrol assisted with the call.

Montana farmers who bought state hail insurance in 2024 will receive a 10 percent refund of the premiums they paid. The Montana Board of Hail Insurance approved the refunds after reviewing the actuarial report at its Spring meeting in March. In 2024, the Montana Department of Agriculture issued 262 hail insurance policies covering 308,635 acres in 37 counties. Additionally, at the Montana
