Judge Denies Preliminary Injunction In Voting Case

District Judge Yvonne Laird denied the request for a preliminary injunction on Thursday, Oct. 24, in the case regarding satellite offices for Native Americans voting in Roosevelt and Valley counties. Appelgren Activities Center Dedicated

It was a time to celebrate at Faith Lutheran Home on Tuesday, Oct. 22, as a dedication was conducted for the Bob and Jeanne Appelgren Activities Center. Endowments from the Appelgren family and Western Bank Legacy made the approximate $100,000 project possible. Unemployment Rate Improves For County

Roosevelt County’s economy is now improving, according to the Montana Department of Labor and Industry. At the end of August, the county sat in a tie for 49th place for unemployment rates in Montana with a rate of 4.4 percent. The calls included the following: Oct. 21 Deputies responded to Froid for a report of hunters shooting within the city limits. Deputies located a hunter who admitted he was shooting at clay pigeons into an open brush area. He apologized and was given a warning. Deputies attended a justice court hearing in Wolf
