Lustre Christian’s boys’ basketball squad was eliminated by Dodson, 56-42, during the District 3C tournament on Saturday, Feb. 20. Dodson took a 15-4 lead in the first quarter and held a 29-22 half-time advantage. The Lustre Lions stayed close but trailed by a 42-32 margin at the end of the third quarter. Top scorers for the Lions were Cayden Kent with 17 and Elijah Lenihan with nine.

Poplar native Hunter Azure will have his fourth Ultimate Fighting Championship fight on April 10. Azure will take on undefeated Jack Shore in a bantamweight battle. The Lions trailed by a 36-21 margin entering the final quarter. Alexa Reddig led the Lions with 24 points. Aubri Holzrichter finished with 10 points.
