There will be a primary election for two non-partisan primary elections in Roosevelt County on June 4. Both the county attorney and District II county commissioner races feature three candidates. According to Montana statute, a primary isn’t required if there are three or less candidates for a position, but the governing body may require that a primary election be held if it passes a resolution

The Roosevelt County Sheriffs Office responded to 49 calls from March 18-25. March 18 Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice with a report of an adult male threatening a female with a machete. Law enforcement searched the area and didn’t find the male. Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police Department with a report of a male and female arguing on Idaho Street.
