Sean Uy of Wolf Point was named to the Abilene Christian University spring 2023 dean’s honor roll. Uy is a sophomore majoring in environmental science.
Uy was among more than 1,200 students named to the spring 2023 dean’s honor roll.
To qualify for the dean’s honor roll, students must be registered for 12 or more credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.6 or higher.

This year’s event features a special presentation on native bees and other pollinators important to agriculture, along with a special Beekeeping 101 workshop for those interested in adding honeybees to their farms. The Montana State University College of Agriculture and Montana Agricultural Experiment Station have announced the dates for their annual agricultural field days, which will take place at research centers around the state.
“Summer field days are some of our favorite community events of the year,” said Sreekala Bajwa, MSU’s vice president for agriculture and dean of the agriculture college.

The Science Math Resource Center at Montana State University, a STEM outreach center housed in the Department of Education, is offering free citizen science kits to 10 Montana programs that serve middle school students.
Applications are due Friday, June 23, and kits will be sent to successful applicants immediately afterward. Programs are asked to use the materials by Sept. 30 and fill out

The switchback road at Makoshika State Park has reopened following temporary repairs to areas recently impacted by sinkholes.
Access is restored to sites above the switchback including the new picnic shelter, amphitheater, trails, primitive camping sites and the archery range.
The youth and adult 3-D archery shoot scheduled for June 17 at the park will proceed as planned.

According to correspondence with customers, Agland announced it will discontinue its gas and diesel pumps on June 12 or before if product runs out, citing BNSF safety concerns.
General manager Dave Williams declined to comment regarding the reason behind the decision.
