Poplar Falls To Missoula Loyola In Semi-final Round
Poplar’s boys’ basketball team battled but lost to defending state champion Missoula Loyola, 63-42, in the semi-final round of the Class B state tournament on Friday, March 8.
The Indians trailed by only an 11-10 margin at the end of the opening quarter. With the score at 21-17 midway into the second period, Loyola tallied eight points in less than a minute for a 29-17 advantage.

Lustre Knocks Off Plentywood, 58-44
The Lustre Lions dominated play in the fourth quarter to down Plentywood, 58-44, during loser-out action at the Class C state boys’ basketball tournament in Great Falls on Friday, March 8.
The game was even at 3838 until Lustre’s Clay Reddig drove in for a basket at the buzzer to end the third quarter.

Lions Drop Semi-Final Game
The Lustre Christian Lions held the lead at one point during the fourth quarter but lost to two-time defending state champion Manhattan Christian, 48-42, in the semi-final round of the Class C boys’ basketball tournament in Great Falls on Thursday, March 7.
The Lions trailed 34-33 at the end of the third quarter and by a 37-33 margin early in the fourth period, but Lustre kept the heat on
