Wilma Marie The Boy, affectionately known as Sugar, died July 20, 2024, in her hometown of Wolf Point. She was born Dec. 10, 1982, in Wolf Point and had resided there for most of her life. She had a fondness for coloring Disney pictures and enjoyed listening to country music, with Garth Brooks being one of her favorite artists. She also had an admiration for Johnny Depp and loved watching his movies. Her proudest accomplishment was being a loving mother to her five daughters: Tia Rose Chamberlain, Alisha Megan Marie Sutton, Justine Joy Bang, Sunshine Zoey Sutton and Heather Renee Bird. Her daughters were the light of her life and she cherished every moment spent with them. She will be remembered for her caring and loving nature, as well as her sense of humor. She always offered a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on, even during her own struggles. She believed in God and held strong to her Native American heritage. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and kindness, impacting the lives of those around her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore “Smitty” The Boy and Margaret Marianne (Comes Last) The Boy also known as “Bonnie” or “Bonnie Boots”; and her daughter, Sunshine Zoey Sutton.

Jalinn Marie Jensen-Rowe, 22, of Wolf Point died Aug. 3, 2024. She was born in Wolf Point to Wendy Jensen Durney and Steven Rowe Sr. on July 7, 2002. She was raised and attended Wolf Point High School. For a brief time after high school, she worked at Sherman Inn as a housekeeper. She met Marcus Muniz and, to this union, Julien Marcus Muniz was born on Jan. 19, 2022. She loved her son more than anything. She enjoyed hanging out with her siblings, listening to music, watching a movie or just visiting and laugh around. She spent most of her time at her sister Tiana’s house hanging out with her niece, Octavia. She loved that little girl as if she was her own. She couldn’t wait for her other niece, Zylah, to be born. She was excited to help raise her like she was Octavia. She was always trying to help out in some kind of way for anyone that needed it. She had a kind heart and only wanted to protect her loved ones and friends. She also was a donor because she said she wanted to help other people in any way she can. William Hastings “Punky” Eder Jr., 71, of Wolf Point, died Aug. 3, 2024. He was born Aug. 2, 1953, in Poplar to William and Lillian (Bruguier) Eder Sr. He grew up in both Poplar and Wolf Point where he received his formal education. During his teenage years, his sense of adventure would take him hitchhiking across the country. After his twoyear adventure, he made his way home to Wolf Point to be with his family and friends. He wasn’t home for too long before he joined the United States Marine Corps. He served from 1972-1976. After he received his discharge, he started trade school to be a Machinist in Salt Lake City, Utah. During one of his visits back home to Montana, he met Janell Garfield. They were married in May 1977 and soon welcomed a daughter, Laurel. A couple of years later, their daughter, Mandy, joined the family. He and Janell later divorced. Later on in his life, he would meet and marry Rebecca Bear. From this union, his son, James Isaac, would join the family. Eventually, they divorced. He worked many years for the Fort Peck Tribes Enterprise Department as a plumber. He learned the skill of carpentry from his dad and would eventually start his own contracting companies with friends and family members. During his years of self-employment, he would build many homes and buildings across the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. Once he retired, he took great pride in teaching his son and grandson’s his vast knowledge of plumbing and carpentry. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting,
