Wolf Point Cross Country Hosts First Meet On Friday
Featuring one of the top runners in the state, Wolf Point’s cross-country team started pre-season practice on Friday, Aug. 11.
Peyton Summers, a senior, earned All-State honors by placing 12th at last year’s Class B state competition.
“He’s hoping to win it this year,” coach Stacey Summers said. “Peyton has been working hard this summer. He’s been doing 10 miles or more a day.”
RMC Receives Trauma Re-designation
Roosevelt Medical Center recently received its re-designation as a level-5 trauma receiving facility from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, Emergency and Trauma System, in Helena.

Poplar Returns Many Starters For Football Season
With the return of nearly all their starters from a season ago, the Poplar Indians are looking forward to a solid football season in 2023.
Returning starters for the Indians include Gage Berg, Kameron Reum, Walker Burshia, Blake Lambert and Cameron Spotted Bird.
“I’m probably the most optimistic that I’ve been in the last couple of years,” Poplar coach Joe Hammar said.
