Froid/Lake Girls Defeat Culbertson
A 21-point performance in the third quarter led the Froid/Lake Red Hawks to a 38-31 girls’ basketball victory in Culbertson on Thursday Dec. 21.
The Cowgirls jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the first quarter, but Froid/Lake tied the game at 11-11 at the half.
The Red Hawks then accounted for 21 points in the third quarter for a 32-17 advantage.

In a tight non-conference basketball battle, Poplar’s girls came away with a 42-28 victory over Froid/Lake on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
The visiting Red Hawks gained a 12-10 lead in the first half and started the third quarter on a good note when Mara Salvevold scored inside for a four-point advantage.

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks battled until the end, but Poplar’s boys’ basketball team emerged with a 67-62 non-conference home win on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
Poplar held a 37-31 halftime advantage and appeared ready to take control of the contest when freshman Keilen Erickcon scored off an assist from Delray Lilley and Kameron Reum added a fast-break bucket for a 41-31 advantage.
