Carlisle Addresses Veterans Day Assembly
The Culbertson School gym was packed with students and attendees from the community for a Veterans Day assembly on Monday, Nov. 11.
The main speaker for the event was Col. Heather J. Carlisle (Army, retired), a Culbertson High School grad with nearly 30 years of distinguished service, finishing up her career as the director for Support Operations for Army Sustainment Command at Rock Island Arsenal

Whether it’s on the football field or the basketball court, senior Mark Kirkaldie is a force for the Culbertson Cowboys.
Kirkaldie is involved in four different sports, but he says his favorite activity is football.

Bleicher, Marottek Win In County Elections
Douglas Marottek and Thomas Bleicher were among the winners in Roosevelt County elections held on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Marottek of Poplar won the race for county commissioner in district 2 with 726 votes. Dean Mahlum of Wolf Point finished with 378 votes. Marottek will replace long-time commissioner Gary Macdonald, who decided not to seek re-election.
