Froid/Lake Girls Split Games

Froid/Lake’s girls’ basketball squad split its games during the final weekend of the season. The Red Hawks downed Savage, 39-29, in their home finale on Friday, Feb. 13. After leading by a 10-6 lead at the end of the first quarter, the Red Hawks increased the gap to 28-19 at the half. Froid/Lake led 35-21 after three quarters of play. Bainville Girls Down Culbertson, 60-46

The Bainville Bulldogs slowly pulled away to beat Culbertson, 60-46, in District 2C girls’ basketball action on Friday, Feb. 13. The Cowgirls put together a strong effort on senior night and held a 23-21 halftime advantage. A three-point play by Emma Berwick provided Culbertson with a 33-32 lead with 2:30 remaining in the third quarter, but Bainville then struck for six consecutive points
