Poplar Enjoys Good Turnout For Track Campaign
With 37 athletes out for the sport, Poplar is looking forward to a successful track season in 2025.
The squad is guided by veteran coaches Brent Moore, Karolyn Kohl and John Wetsit.
Coaches say the team is pretty much equally divided between boys and girls.

Poplar Golfers Aim For Successful 2025 Season
Poplar’s golf program features seven boys and five girls this season.
“We have more girls out this year,” Poplar Coach Brock Copenhaver said. “It’s a good number to work with.”
Girls with the most playing experience include junior Bree Brown, sophomore Frankie Crawford and Masina Youpee. Senior Angelina Escarcega also is expected to have a solid season for the Indians.

Poplar Opens Tennis Season With Good Numbers
The Poplar Indians are pleased with a turnout of 12 girls for the sport of tennis under new head coach Amanda Simonson.
The Indians ended last season’s campaign with only five players.
“I want them to learn the basics and have fun,” Simonson said of her goals.

Brockton Lines Up Good Athletes For Upcoming Track Season
The Brockton Warriors are starting the track season with six athletes including five girls.
Brockton Coach Evan Cummins feels distance runs should be a strong suit for the Warriors.
“We have two of them who will hopefully to make state this year,” Coach Cummins said.
The squad consists of three juniors, a sophomore and two freshmen.
