Wolf Point School Board Approves Pre-Employment Transition Services
The Wolf Point School Board approved an agreement with the Montana Department of Health and Human Services to help students with disabilities during its monthly meeting held on Sept. 8.
The pre-employment transition service program will be for students ages 14-21. The school will receive funds to provide the job training.
Services will include job exploration counseling, work-based learning
Speakers Motivate Area Students
Motivational speakers Elwood Pipestem-Ott and Darnell Jackson provided positive messages to area students throughout the day on Thursday, Sept. 11.
The two spoke at Frontier School, Frazer School and at Wolf Point junior high/high school. Pipestem-Ott is a former assistant basketball coach at Haskell University and director of organizational development for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
New Car Seat Law Begins In Montana Oct. 1
Area residents should be aware that Montana’s new car seat law goes into effect on Oct. 1.
The new law includes:
• Children under the age of 2 must ride in a rear-facing car seat that meets federal safety standards.
• Use a rear or forward-facing car seat with an internal harness for children ages 2-4.
• Children, between the ages of 4-8, must use a forward-facing seat with
