Alvin Charles 'Chuck' Garfield, 74, of Wolf Point died Oct. 31, 2025, at Trinity Hospital. He was born March 12, 1951, to Daniel Aloysious and Agnes Marie Garfield. He was born, raised and died in Wolf Point. He had lived in a few different places in his younger years, but Wolf Point was his home. He was one of 12 children — somewhere in the middle. As a youngster, he liked to get into mischief but never got spanked. He was gifted with the ability to sweet talk his way out of trouble. He married three times, the last was by far the longest — he was married to Janice (Martin) for the last 34 years. He fathered five children, adopted a son and fostered one of his grandsons. He influenced many of his nieces and nephews. He was loved by all that enjoyed his many hunting and fishing endeavors and lived vicariously reliving those moments by telling animated stories about them — he was a great story teller. He made friends from around the world because of his hunting abilities and willingness to share his vast knowledge of gaming. He also loved hosting a good fish fry because they gave him a reason to get everyone together. Then, as soon as the boys showed up, he became the foreman and handed off the tongs. He lived a full life. His many loves were hunting, fishing, drinking, bullshitting, gardening, making breakfast, frying fish, driving the fields and having a good water fight. He is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Tawnya Winchell, Dean Garfield, Tachia Armstrong, Beau Garfield and KC Garfield; numerous grandchildren; siblings Cleo Garfield, Larry Garfield, Cecelia Peters, Vance Garfield, Leon Garfield, Nancy Nordwick, Marshelle Lambert and Desiree Garfield. He was preceded in death by his son, Chad Aaron Garfield; granddaughter, Chandlor Alexis Garfield; and siblings, Daniel “Cowboy” Garfield, Joan Small and Douglas Garfield. Prayer services will be Thursday, Nov. 6, at 6 p.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Funeral will be Friday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wolf Point. Cremation will follow services. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.

Callie Sue Lingle, 52, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025. Joining her sister Jodi and brother Bo, she was born on March 3, 1973, to Patsy and Johnny Lingle in Circle, where she spent and cherished her childhood to adolescent years. Her brother Jamie joined the family in 1974. She often spoke fondly of her childhood home in Circle and the memories she shared growing up with her brothers and sister. She graduated from Circle High School in 1991. Her family grew even larger when Patsy married Oddvar Idland and Johnny married Mary Hogan — she gained five new siblings, Eric, Sadie and Jake Idland and Amanda and Adam Meyer. In January of 1987, Oddvar and Patsy had Jenny Idland with whom Callie had a strong relationship. In 1994, she married Mike Tennant and gained a stepson, Tyrel Tennant. Together, they had two children, Austin and Courtney Tennant. They spent several years gardening, camping and raising their children together in Callie’s favorite house by the Yellowstone River. Later, they divorced and she moved back home to Circle where she managed the VFW for several years. Although separated, they remained friends and loved getting together to have a beer and talk about their children. She later married Cody Burman and gained two stepchildren, Shelby and Colton Burman. In 2004, Cody and Callie had one son together, Wyatt John Burman. She was nervous, but over the moon excited to have another child to love and it was one of the happiest days of her life. After a few years, she and her children moved back to Circle following a divorce from Cody. She enjoyed living and raising her children in Circle and remaining close to her mom and Oddvar, who were a big staple in her life. Over the years, she developed many close friendships and always took anyone in as her own.

Margaret Hernandez, 46, of Poplar died Oct. 30, 2025, at the Poplar Community Hospital. A wake will be held on Monday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
