Arrests Made In Val-AM Break-ins
An arrest has been made in response to a June 29 break-in at Val-Am Stop-N-Go in Culbertson.
Lt. Patrick O’Connor with the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office told the Community News that a 30-year-old man from Fort Kipp has been charged with five misdemeanors: possession of burglary tools, attempted criminal trespass to property, criminal trespass to vehicle, criminal mischief and theft.

Bainville Town Council Examines Budget
The Bainville Town Council held a special meeting Tuesday, June 23. Councilmen Ron Butikofer and Chuck Hyatt and mayor Dennis Portra were in attendance.
Following roll call and the approval of the agenda, the council held discussions about expenditure and revenue figures for the 2019-20 fiscal year.

Vanatta Pleads Not Guilty To Firearms Charges
Joshua Patrick Vanatta, 30, of Bainville, appeared in federal court in Missoula before U.S. Magistrate Judge Kathleen L. DeSoto on June 25. He pleaded not guilty on charges of prohibited person in possession of ammunition and possession of a destructive device. A trial date of Sept. 1 in Great Falls has been set.

Heather Grimm and numerous other volunteers with Wolf Point conducted a spay and neuter clinic June 27-28 at the Roosevelt County fairgrounds in Culbertson. Tina Betshismedicine told the Community News that the group spayed/neutered 50 cats and 23 dogs.
