Pretty Iron Feather Dancers Host Mini Kahomani


The Fort Peck Indian Reservation’s Pretty Iron Feather Dancers are hosting a mini kahomani event at the Roosevelt County Fair Aug. 11. Founder Amanda Boyd told the Community News that the group has been appearing before the fair committee in Culbertson since 2017. She described the planned event as a social dance. Dancers with the company will be on hand from 3-4 p.m. at the fairgrounds.

The fourth annual Frazer School Healing Week took place in Frazer July 25-28. The event had four days of activities designed to teach youth a sense of self and self-empowerment. Numerous Brockton and Frazer students attended this year. Participants made emotion trees which are meant to help children develop their emotional intelligence.
