This week, the Montana Department of Transportation and Knife River will continue to excavate and pour concrete along U.S. Highway 2. Crews will be working throughout the project area to accommodate the curing time of the concrete.
Work will take place Monday through Saturday, from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane and controlled by flaggers or traffic signals.

Fair organizers encourage service organizations, 4-H clubs, FFA chapters, those who want to volunteer time, and more to participate.
All are asked to come prepared to paint, pull weeds, and anything else needed to finish preparation before the fair.
Water and lemonade will be provided.

Valley County Sheriff Tom Boyer reported that, on Thursday July 6, at 8:40 a.m., the Valley County Sheriff’s Office responded to one of the cabin areas of Fort Peck Lake for an unresponsive 2-year-old boy found in the water.
The child, who was from Billings, had been staying with relatives in the area.
The sheriff’s statement did not identify which cabin area the child was found near.

Area teams and bronc riders competed recently at the 14th annual Miles City Ranch Rodeo that was held at the Eastern Montana Fairgrounds.
The open rodeo had 12 teams going head to head for the top rodeo prize. First place went to the Steppler Ranch team that featured Alex Munoz, Ruben Munoz, James Gorman, Joe Winter and Rainie Mullanix.
