Number Of Fatalities Down In Highway Patrol District

Eastern Montana has been very fortunate so far this year on the highways. As of last week, there has been only one fatality in the Glendive district, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. Roosevelt County commissioners approved the transfer of a lease for the Picard gravel pit from Franz Construction to Roosevelt County during a meeting Tuesday, June 13. The pit is located north of Bainville. The county is looking to lease one section of the property. Applications are being sent out for the Frederick and Bernice Knierim scholarship, which are for area youth who have graduated from a high school in Valley, Sheridan, Daniels or Roosevelt counties and have completed at least one year of education after high school. As the colleges are now releasing grades for the spring semester, all applicants must send their grades to be eligible for this
