Seventh graders from Culbertson visited Ike’s Fishing Pond & Waling path May 21. Marc Kloker, Jared Krebs and Cody Hayden from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks were on hand to sample fish and declared the pond a healthy habitat for its population of perch and trout. The Froid community held their annual Arbor Day celebration and tree-planting ceremony Tuesday, May 14 at the town park/playground area. Tyler Harris and the students from Froid School helped plant two more trees. Harris also read the proclamation in the absence of Mayor Sheri Crain. The students all had the chance to learn some fun Arbor Day facts. The younger students enjoyed the playground equipment.

U.S. Senator Jon Tester sent a letter to U.S. Customs and Border Protection calling on the Biden Administration to extend the hours of operations at ports of entry in Montana, citing the effects on Montana’s economy.
In his letter to CBP Commissioner Troy A. Miller, Tester specifically calls on the Administration to extend the summer hours of operations at the Port of Wild Horse.
